The aisles have round-headed clerestory windows with stained glasses. Noteworthy is the campanile characterized by an interesting little rose-windows pattern. In the centre of the piazza is a remarkable statue by Pietro Francavilla representing Francis Medici.

Piazza Grande |
|
It was the market place and the core of the old comune. There are several buildings of great interest such the tower-house Cofani, the judicial court and the Vasari Logge, a masterpiece of the great Italian architect Giorgio Vasari and consequently, in his honor, the piazza is colloquially known as Piazza Vasari. Here is held the Antiquarian Fair of Arezzo; it has been the first antiquarian manifestation having a regular monthly cadence on the first Sunday, and is one of the most important in Italy.
