Hohenstaufen Castle
Foto Termoli: Hohenstaufen Castle
The Castle is the town symbol and actually is depicted in the civic coat of arms. It was built in the 13th century by the Hohenstaufen emperors that ruled Italy in the middle age. It is formed by trapezoidal thick battlements and a massive crenellated square keep. The central clock dial is a modern alteration.
Cathedral

The Cathedral is an Apulian-Romanesque masterpiece, built in the 12th century and considered National Heritage. The facade features a blind loggia pattern engraved with alt relieves representing twin round headed windows decorated with different remarkable archivolts. The main portal has a richly friezed lunette inscribed in a noteworthy archivolt. On the right is the cute St. Anne church.
