The massive St. Anthony of Padova Basilica, in Romanesque-gothic style looks like an oriental mosque for the presence of eight rising impressive domes. In the Basilica are preserved the mortal remains of St. Anthony and it is a chief place for Christian pilgrimage.

| Prato della Valle |

View of the channel crossing the Prato della Valle, flanked by 78 statues representing famous personages. The square is encircled by noble palaces of the most important Venetian and Padovan families, and furnished with gardens and bridges. The Prato della Valle is today setting for fairs and cultural events.

| St. Giustina Basilica |

St. Giustina Basilica rises impressively in the centre of "Prato della Valle", Valley Meadow. Made in brickwork, it shows oriental influences with its green and blue domes. It was restored many times and during the Napoleonic period it became a barrack (part of it is still used today for this activity). In the Basilica several remarkable works of art are kept.
