Foto Monza: Arengario
This wonderful and ancient squared building in brickwork, called Arengario dates back to the fourteenth century and it was the place where the municipal councils were held in the communal age. The pillars supporting pointed arches are typical of Lombard architecture. The upper floor is adorned with the presence of three light windows and of the so-called "parlera", a little balcony from which the public crier read the municipal decrees. The building has also a squared tower with pointed curve windows ending with an octagonal spire.
Royal Villa

It is considered one of the most beautiful monuments of Lombardy; the Royal Villa of Monza was restored several times. Erected for the Hapsburgs, the villa had the original role of summer residence for the royal family. The sober main structure is divided in two side wings. The wonderful gardens are managed by Monza and Milan municipalities.
