View of Victoria square, which is the city centre. You can see the Romanesque cathedral with a brickwork façade and a smart bell tower and the neoclassical Town Hall. Noteworthy is the characteristic basoli (rectangular stones) paving the entire square.

Victor Emanuel II Monument |
|
In the middle of Castle Square is a fine nineteenth-century statue of white limestone, dedicated to king Victor Emanuel II. In the background is a sumptuous building with broken segmental pediments, typical feature of the late baroque taste.
