St. Mary is the conventual church, and is the main religious building in town. It is an early Romanesque basilica, featuring a massive projecting side bell tower decorated with a simple blind arches motif. It dates back to the 11th century and is set on a huge staircase.

The Ducal Palace is in the main town square. It is a noteworthy building mixing an original Medieval structure with elegant Renaissance patterns such the band-rusticated arched portal and the marble balcony at the piano nobile. The balcony is decorated with moulded lintels and an engraved architrave.
