Saint Pardus Cathedral |
|
The Saint Pardus Cathedral is a remarkable masterpiece in Apulian-Romanesque Style. Remarkable is the massive pointed arched archivolt, featuring Solomonic columns and an engraved lunette whose sculpture represents the Calvary. In the upper side of the front, are three lights surmounted by triangular tympana; a traceried rose-window; and two side round-arched lights with quatrefoil detailing. On the left flank, is the campanile, dating back to the 14th century.
