The Santa Maria Assunta Church is the main artistic sight in Positano. It is located in the very centre and features a picturesque majolica dome and a campanile divided into three orders decorated with arches: this latter was added lately for the will of an unknown philanthropist friar. The interiors house the "black Madonna" a largely worshipped Christian icon.

Spiaggia Grande is the main beach of Positano, where tourists dwell in trendy summer for bathing or indulging at the exclusive shops and restaurants that face the sea front. Positano is considered one of the most chic destinations in Europe.
