Virgin Mary Statue |
|
Placed on an obelisk, the statue representing the Holy Virgin Mary is pointing the sea to commemorate when some sailors in the 1200 found a wooden Madonna with the Child, abandoned by a ship in trouble, coming from Constantinople. The local feast called "Maronn‘e' notte", Holy Virgin in the night, commemorates every year the said event.
