St.Nicholas of Bari Church |

The Old Church is dedicated to St. Nicolas of Bari. The Saint was born in Licia, Asia; his worship began to spread in the Middle Age after his mortal-remains were moved to Bari. It was an honor for the city to host the remains of such a popular saint. This church is a masterpiece of Romanesque style and it was built on the site of the Byzantine royal palace.
