Visconti Castle |
|
It is a wing of the Visconti Castle, which was built for Gian Galeazzo Visconti; the walls are covered with a characteristic red brickwork. It has two embattled towers and a huge court yard closed with arcades. The great Italian poet Francesco Petrarca worked here; he was called by Gian Galeazzo Visconti to take care of his library.
