Navina Arch |
|
One of Moncalieri's symbol: the Navina Arch, so called because set near the old commercial town harbor, in the past had the purpose to defend the entrance to the town and it is the only one surviving of the three medieval arches. The door, which leads to the city centre, has a bronze bas relief describing the "Moncalieri Proclamation", a peace treatise which followed some struggles related to the Italian Unification.
