On the right is the Town Hall, colloquially known as Palazzo San Francesco. The front is divided into two levels. The lower is in Gothic style, while the upper shows signs of recent restorations. On the left is San Francesco church, a brick building with a fine rose window.
Cathedral

The Isernia Cathedral was rebuilt and remodelled several times due to the many earthquakes that hitted the city. The neo-classical church features a tetrastyle portico of ionic order. On the right is the elegant bell tower topped with a smart steeple.
Fraterna Fountain
Foto Isernia: Fraterna Fountain
The fountain was built in honour of Pope Celestino V who was born in the Isernia region, the Molise. It is named after a congregation established by Celestino himself, before becoming pope, called Frataria, that is to say brotherhood. It was built with some stones and pillars found in a near roman archaeological site. The fountain, actually, embodies some roman lapidaria (gravestones) and features a colonnade with an entablature decoration of blind arches.
