Anjou-Aragon Castle |

The castle dates back to 1269 when was property of Charles I Anjou. In 1490, after the Crown of Aragon had conquered the Kingdom of Naples defeating the last Angevin, the castle was completely restored by Ferdinand of Aragon.

The church is famous because houses a remarkable engraved wooden crucifix of Spanish school that has been declared National Heritage. Such crucifix is popularly alleged to be left by the sea by an unknown galleon, in mysterious ways.

The museum is one of the most prominent monuments in town and is located close to the famous Anjou Castle. The collections show the story of all the surrounding areas and is based on records and oral traditions focusing on the local culture.
