Caldoresco Castle |

Caldoresco Castle is an astonishing example of Renaissance fortress. It has a nice corbelled ornamentation on both the enceinte walls and towers, and features a huge ditch and a noteworthy drawbridge. It served also as a prison, was finally turned into a Justice Court. In the foreground is a Medieval fountain.

St. Joseph Cathedral |

St. Joseph Cathedral is in Parma Avenue. It has an eyes catching Romanesque traceried rose window and an elegant portal decorated with an archivolt. The church dates back to the 12th century but the campanile was added in eighteenth.

Gabriele Rossetti Monument and Bassano Tower |

The monument, sculpted by Filippo Cifariello, is dedicated to Gabriele Rossetti, poet and patriot who fought for the Italian Independence, who was born in Vasto. Rossetti emigrated to England becoming a professor and was the father of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, one of the most renowned British painter and co-founder of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. In the background is the Bassano tower.
