Virgin Mary's Assumption Church and Palazzo |
|
This religious complex includes the Palazzo of Annunciation, that was originally built as a hospital, and the church. The palazzo, built in the 1500 and lately remodelled, features two cornice decorations, point arch headed windows and a portal of Gothic style, and a Baroque entrance topped with a massive pediment. Noteworthy are the statues adorning the front; today it houses a museum. The church was redesigned in the late Baroque style in the 1700 and has a flamboyant facade decorated with columns and broken pediments.
