The church was built for the will of Earl Nicolò Orsini in the 14th century and rebuilt several times due to many incidents occurred, the most severe being the big fire of the 19th century. Hence the original Gothic element were covered by later decorations, mostly renaissance style. The facade is divided into two distinct levels. The lower part features blind arches and the upper has carved false pillars framing niches hosting several statues. In 1909 were finally translated in the church's crypt the mortal remains of San Paolino, town patron saint.

The town hall is in the piazza Duomo. The building was rebuilt after the mines stored by Germans during the Second World War accidentally exploded causing the collapse of the structure. The palazzo is reminiscent of classical architecture, featuring elegant tympana topping the portal and the windows.

The current Civil Court is the former stately home built for the Earl Orso Orsini, and has been restored several times due to earthquake damages. The simple facade features steel-gated little windows at the first floor and huger stone work framed windows at the upper floors. The impressive portal is surmounted by a niche which used to host the now lost equestrian statue of the Earl Orsini.
