The parish of St. Maur |
|
The parish of St. Maur is a Baroque masterpiece. The flamboyant facade features a massive tympanum on the top; the bays are framed by Corinthian pillars and have niches and coffering on the walls. The eye-catching portal is surmounted by two segmental pediments. The upper one is a broken pediment and a stained glass window lies in axis with the pediment's keystone. The portal is flaked by Doric columns.
