St.Peter’s Basilica
Foto Frascati: St.Peter’s Basilica
Pope Clement VII built the church in the 17th century. The current structure was shaped during the two invasive restorations of the 50s that added the two bell towers on the top of the aisles. The facade, designed in the 18th century by Girolamo Fontana features a sequence of triangular and segmental pediments topping the portals, the main window and the niches. Above the aisles' doors are placed two bull's eyes windows.
Villa Aldobrandini

It is the most important and famous villa of the Frascati area, where Roman aristocracy used to dwell and several country villas had been built in the Renaissance. Villa Aldobrandini was erected in the first half of 1550 and lately donated to Pietro Aldobrandini who modernized and remodeled the house. It is colloquially known as villa Belvedere because it is located on the top of a hill from which it is possible to see all the surroundings; the villa features remarkable frescoed vaults in its interiors and luscious gardens, with fountains and casinos.
