The Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Mary of Assumption, has been altered since it was built. The church was originally founded in the 10th century and then rebuilt in Romanesque style between 12 -14th century. Only the campanile preserves the original structure. The present facade was designed in the 19th century by Castellucci.
