Cathedral |

Parma Cathedral is an important Romaesque monument. It features a maze of blind arches spanning the facade and a double finely engraved archivolt framed by columns held by lions. The church is alleged to have been designed by the Medieval master Antelami. In the right transept is Antelami's masterpiece "The Deposition".

Ducal Castle |

The exquisite Parma Ducal Castle was built for Duke Ottavio Farnese in 1561. The palazzo features remarkable classic decorations such the Serlian blind arch embodying the central windows at the piano nobile, triangular tympana, cornices and stuccoes. It includes the Ducal Gardens.

Royal Theater |

The Royal Theater is a famous 19th century Neoclassical opera house. It is constituted by a central body and two side wings. The central bay's main entrance is preceded by a Ionic order colonnade; the piano nobile has classic pedimented lights. The second storey is decorated with a single huge lunette window, surrounded by two stuccoed bas-reliefs representing two angels holding garlands.
