Foto Brescia: Broletto
Broletto stands for Town Hall and was made in Communal age. The loggia shown in the picture was built during the Venetian rule and features a band rusticated covering at the ground floor and a huge terrace with a Doric colonnade supporting the roof, at the piano nobile.
Foto Brescia: Capitolium
In the picture, you can see the ruins of the main Roman Forum in Brescia. The Corinthian temple shown in foreground was the Capitolium, that was the shrine were the Capitoline Triad was worshiped. Jupiter, Juno and Minerva - who constituted such triad - were the three supreme deities in Roman religion. Brescia's Capitolium was established during the Vespasian kingdom.

This exquisite palazzo is a masterpiece of Lombard-Venetian Renaissance. Grotto friezes covering the entablatures, architraves and lintels are the main characteristic of the structure. Nowadays, la Loggia is the Town Hall.
